Having stayed at Trecane Beach House several times I can honestly say it is one of the best places I’ve been too , if your wanting a weekend away to relax and escape from every day life or just somewhere to enjoy the beach and surf it is perfect in every aspect.
The house is clean and tidy , feeling very comfortable and homely . Filled with beautiful paintings of the surrounding area, and beautiful views of the beach opposite .
It’s less than a 10 minute drive to Bude for shops , bakery’s and supermarkets , and has restaurants within walking distance.
We’ve always loved staying here , it holds a special place for me and my family as we have made so many amazing memories here . Dogs welcome so makes life easier and great for walks on the beach!
It’s a great base for visiting surrounding areas in Cornwall .

We had a wonderful week. Lots of space and very comfortable for 10 of us (+ 2 dogs). Great access to the beach allowing 1 year to 80 year olds enjoy Widemouth Bay and Bude together. Jackie was very helpful and welcoming. Just not enough time to do everything!

We had a gorgeous stay there with our big family. It was beautifully clean and tasteful with lovely beach themed decor and artwork. We couldn’t be closer to the best spot on the beach. We felt like A-lister celebs coming and going! I have fond memories of us all watching the eclipse in the cosy table in the front lawn overlooking the beautiful views in front of the house. Trecane is a beautiful home with pretty much everything that you need when on holiday. It is the perfect family holiday and suitable for all generations. It has amazing views and is the perfect location as the beach is literally on the doorstep.

I may be shooting myself in the foot by going overboard about this property and its owner, as we would love to visit again. However, it really is difficult to fault. Its location is directly opposite the beach, the house was spotless when we arrived, it is beautifully decorated and furnished, light and airy, and the owner could not be more accommodating and went out of her way to make sure our holiday was perfect.

Location, Location, Location!!
This is the best location we have ever stayed in. Absolutely outstanding. Less than 1 minute to the beach and a good beach cafe.  The Beach House eatery is just 5 mins walk which serves excellent food. Bude is a 5 min drive. Trecane is a comfortable family home with all that you need and more.  And Jackie, the host,  responds immediately and is the loveliest lady.  We had the best time and would gladly recommend Trecane to anyone. A stunning well equipped house in a wonderful location. Jackie was the perfect host and was brilliant in making sure we had everything we needed. The pictures don’t do this house justice in terms of size and location - it is literally across the road from Widemouth beach. Wonderful stay at Trecane

We had the most fabulous time at Trecane! We arrived around midday, knowing that check-in wasn’t until 3pm, so we parked in the beach car park, enjoyed a reasonably priced lunch at the café, and watched the waves — the perfect start to our holiday.

On arrival, the house was beautifully clean, with freshly mopped floors and all the beds freshly made with lovely, good-quality white sheets. The thick, luxurious bath towels were a lovely touch too.

We arranged a Click & Collect from the local Morrisons, which was incredibly easy and convenient. The kitchen was fantastic and had absolutely everything we needed. We cooked at home every day and never found ourselves short of anything. Everyone particularly loved the ice maker in the fridge!

The washing and drying facilities were also great. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather throughout our stay, but it was reassuring to know there was a tumble dryer available if needed.

There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, with games, books and a huge TV — perfect for a little downtime. After hours of attempting to catch waves on the bodyboards, the comfortable beds were very welcome, and we all slept peacefully every night.

The owners were absolutely lovely — incredibly quick to respond to messages and happy to answer any questions. The delicious cake they left for us was such a thoughtful and welcome treat.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Trecane was beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped, and we would happily return. Highly recommended!

Yet another great stay at Trecane! The house is ideally located for the beach at Widemouth Bay which is good for swimming, body boarding and surfing with several companies offering surfing lessons. The views are excellent, particularly watching the sunset from the house or front garden. Good range of refreshments within short walking distance whether it is the Widemouth Bay café to the Beach House Bar or Bay View Inn. Also ideally located for going into Bude for shopping or eating or travelling further down the coast to Boscastle, Tintagel or Padstow.
